Today, I...
- Note: When you read "I drove", read it as "R drove me there" Also, R did most of the looking for things.
- got up around noon
- Ate some food
- Took my pills (very late, so I didn't take all of them)
- Called the lawyer to ask for instructions on what to do after I had the death certificate, left a message on his voicemail
- Called the eyeglass place to see if giving them the basic health insurance info would help them find vision plan info
- called HR person hoping they could find out, left a message
- Collected my marriage certificate
- Took a callback from the eyeglass place saying that they found it, and it's not covered. Chose to continue with appt anyway and pay out of pocket and hope to submit a claim
- failed to find my checkbook
- found the next checkbook in sequence
- Drove up to Summit, NJ
- found the office to get the death certificate
- realized I'd left my marriage certificate at home
- drove back home
- picked up the marriage certificate
- drove back to summit nj board of vital statistics
- got 15 copies of the long form death certificate.
By which time it was 3:14 pm, and there was no way I could get to Elizabeth, NJ in time to find the Surrogate's Court in time to do anything there, assuming I didn't need an appointment to start with. So R & I went to a restaurant in Summit called The Committed Pig and had late lunch there so I could take pills.
Now I'm going up to my room because I woke up in the middle of the night with a headache and took a headache pill, and now I'm going to go take another and hope to not fall over but be prepared to.
And I've not gotten a callback from the lawyer yet.
